52nd Annual Pittsburgh Folk Festival - May 16 - 18, 2008

« Previous Page

For the 52nd year, the Bulgarian Macedonian National Educational and Cultural Center will play a major part in the Pittsburgh Folk Festival, which will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh, May 16 - 18.

Visitors to our booth will feel like they're on a tour of Bulgaria! We'll be displaying crafts, photos and videos of our ancestral country, and - as always - we'll offer our delicious Bulgarian specialties - such as the popular Shopska Salata, apple strudel and a variety of banitzas.

We'll also be selling beautiful handcrafted Bulgarian gift items in the Festival's Marketplace area.

Our Children's Ensemble will perform during the 1:00 pm session on Saturday, May 17. Our Otets Paissii Folk Ensemble will also perform on Saturday during the 7:15 pm session. (We'll be on stage around 8:30.)

Advance sale tickets are available at the Center for $8.00 each ($10 at the door). Children’s tickets are $4.00 in advance and at the door. One dollar from each ticket sale will benefit the Center. Please phone 412-461-6188 or email us at bmnecc@gmail.com for more information on tickets.

And remember to stop by the Bulgarian Center after the Folk Festival for a special Late Night Vecherinka. Learn more »
