The Heartbeat of a Culture - the long-awaited publication chronicling the history of the BMBA and BMNECC - is now available for sale.

BMNECC Executive Director Walter Kolar spent years researching the Center's earliest records - many of which required translation from Bulgarian to English - to obtain much of the information and anecdotes presented in the book. He, together with BMNECC President Patricia Penka French, have written a fascinating account of the history of the Bulgarians and Macedonians in southwestern Pennsylvania. The book contains over 200 old and new photographs - plus reprints of articles, letters and rare documents - which really bring the story to life.

This limited edition, 100-page book is priced at $20, plus $5 shipping and handling. Contact the Center today to reserve your copy: 412-461-6188.

Copies of our popular 80th anniversary DVD - BMNECC: 80 Years of Embracing and Preserving Culture and Tradition - are also available at $20 a copy, plus $5 shipping and handling. Learn More.
