The BMNECC was featured in an article on page 5 of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Sunday Magazine section on November 6, 2011: "East European organizations operate in many different enclaves." BMNECC Acquires Property; Expansion Plans in Progress!
The BMNECC is pleased to announce that we have officially acquired the properties adjacent to the Center on West Eighth Avenue! We will use this expanded area to provide enhanced parking for our guests, to develop an ethnic Bulgarian cafe and to enlarge the museum, gift shop, kitchen and storage areas. Thanks to a $250,000 state grant and a $150,000 Allegheny County grant, work is now underway!. Click here for more information.

Bulgaria Establishes Consulate in Pittsburgh
The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria has unanimously chosen to appoint BMNECC President Patricia Penka French the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Bulgaria for Pittsburgh and the Western Pennsylvania region. Click here for more information.
