Sunday, June 28 - 4:00 to 8:00 pm

Visit the BMNECC to see a "historical pageant in one act."  Steel Valleys 1919 is a performance which celebrates the ninetieth anniversary of the so-called "Hunky Strike" of 1919 - an attempt by Pittsburgh's Amalgamated Association of Iron, Steel and Tin Workers (the AA) to organize the American steel industry in the wake of World
War I. The majority of strikers were immigrants from southern and central/eastern Europe.

A reception will follow, with light refreshments and a cash bar.

Donations are welcome for admission. Proceeds will benefit the Preserve Croatian Heritage Foundation and the Society for the Preservation of the Murals at St. Nicholas Church in Millvale, PA.

This pageant is produced and directed by Patrishka Magdic. Call 412-678-8974 for more information or to reserve tickets.
